____________________________________________ Butler Haynes Park We are so fortunate to have this beautiful park in our village. It is becoming apparent that many people are walking their dogs off-leash and not picking up after them. Please, carry bags with you and always pooper scoop after your pet. You wouldn't want your child or dog stepping in this, would you? ____________________________________________ ATTENTION: We are being notified by a number of residents both in the lower village and on the hill, of cats and dogs running loose and causing issues with pets. If you allow your pet to run loose, they will be trapped or picked up by Animal Control and there will be a charge to recover them. If you are having nuisance issues in your yard, please contact Peoria County Animal Welfare and they will come out and place live traps in your yards to capture the cats (and raccoons) that are causing problems and to pick up the dogs that are running loose. Please call: (309) 672-2440. The Village of Mapleton cannot place traps. This has to be done by the County. Thank you. ______________________________________________________________ eBills for Water Bills! You received a contact update sheet with your March 1 water bill. Please make sure you fill it out and if you want your water bill via email, make sure we have your email address before March 28. You will need to have Adobe or Foxit on your computer in order to read your bill. This is voluntary, and there are no fees to our residents for this convenient service.
We have decided to wait 60 days after we implement this portion of the new process before we decide on adding the ePayment option. We will be collecting your email addresses for this improved option soon! This is a voluntary program only. ____________________________________________ Ordinance No. 2017-11-08 - Tax Levy Ordinance - Village of Mapleton (Posted 11/15/2017) (Click on link to access)
