ATTENTION: We are being notified by a number of residents both in the lower village and on the hill, of cats and dogs running loose and causing issues with pets. If you allow your pet to run loose, they will be trapped or picked up by Animal Control and there will be a charge to recover them. If you are having nuisance issues in your yard, please contact Peoria County Animal Welfare and they will come out and place live traps in your yards to capture the cats (and raccoons) that are causing problems and to pick up the dogs that are running loose. Please call: (309) 672-2440. The Village of Mapleton cannot place traps. This has to be done by the County. Thank you.
Thank you for your responses to the Water Survey last month. We will be implementing eBilling of water bills for those who would like to participate in the new program. We have decided to wait 60 days after we implement this portion of the new process before we decide on adding the ePayment option. We will be collecting your email addresses for this improved option soon! This is a voluntary program only.

REMINDER: Water Bills are due on or before the 20th of each month. They are past due with a penalty added if received later. Notices are sent out about past due balances and a courtesy call is made several days prior to disconnecting your service. There is no excuse for not either paying your bill on time, or making arrangements with the Water Chair if you are unable to do so. Accounts that are not settled by the first of the month will be disconnected. If you are unable to pay by the first of the month, please call the office (309-697-0137) and let us know so we can work something out. Please make sure we have your current phone number for notification if there is a problem with water main breaks, etc.
